No, this will not be yet another article praising EOS, though I am quite fond of their tangerine flavor which if you haven’t tried you really should. This product really caught me by surprise, I first came across Molton Brown Vitamin Lipsaver when I was on vacation in Georgia, I got a 7ml tube of the stuff and became instantly hooked. All my life I have had extremely chapped lips, I tried Chapstic, Neutrogena, and Burts Bees to no avail, the only product that could even slightly soothe was EOS, but on those cold winter days even that didn’t help. I started using Molton Brown’s Lipsaver when I had forgotten to bring some EOS on vacation and the little tube was one of the hotel samples. Two days and my lips were the smoothest they’ve been in years. I could finally wear matte lipsticks without my lips looking like peeled paint and the damage from cracks and splits had completely gone away, making my lips appear fuller. It is long wearing and leaves little residue, leaving lips feeling less greasy without sacrificing protection. The cost is a little high ($18), but if you use the right amount the tube lasts forever and the results turn out to be priceless.

What I’m Wearing Today: The Sweater is from Forever21, yes it is from the kids section, but it’s really warm and hey, who can tell? The simple, blue, skinny jeans are from Garage, I love them even though they are usually a touch on the expensive side because I rarely have to cuff the bottoms when I wear flats. The riding boots are made by Khombu, I managed to snag this pair for $15 at a closing Sports Authority, but they are also available online. Here’s a better picture of the details below:

Four Insanely Underrated Hair Products
We’ve all been to the salon and had serious hair envy over the silky waves that only last until the next wash, but those professional shampoos may not be so easy on your wallet so here are some hair products to help you look like a million bucks even if you have none.
- Mane n’ Tail-
I’ll admit I was a little apprehensive about using horse shampoo for the first time, but this is a great alternative to expensive salon brands and leaves hair feeling clean and smelling great, its also said to promote hair growth which is perfect if you want to grow out short hair or bangs.

2.Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Flat Iron Perfector Straightening Mist-
This product is a godsend for those of us who have an unhealthy relationship with our straighteners. I usually spritz a little on a wide tooth comb and gently stroke though my hair to cover all of my locks evenly. This is one of a few products that doesn’t leave my hair feeling fried and helps retain its shine even after heat. The best part? You can find it here for less than $4.00!
3.DevaCurl No-Poo and DevaCurl Condition-
Curly hair needs curly care, this duo uses gentle cleansers and doesn’t strip hair of its natural oils so your curls stay bouncy and don’t get weighed down. I’d recommend for those with oily hair, but it really does wonders for all hair types.

4. Redken All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner-
This is the most expensive product on this list, but its worth it. I’ve used a lot of shampoos in my life but this is a literal panacea for split ends and dry hair. If you use heat tools regularly, get this shampoo. The other quality that makes this pair amazing? These are the best smelling products I have ever purchased and leave hair with a fragrance that smells gorgeous and lasts until the next wash.

Happy Hair!
In the Heart of the Sea-Nathaniel Philbrick
I rarely find thrilling page turners in historical non-fiction, but this captivating account of the sinking of the Essex managed to grip my attention and convey the unbelievable experiences of the eight survivors. The true account of the story that inspired Herman Melville’s Moby Dick, Philbrick sets out to reveal the horrors faced on the open ocean and the sacrifices faced in the pursuit of survival. This truly an author of impeccable talent and a must read, I found my copy in Barnes and Noble but it is also available for Kindle and E-Readers, Enjoy!
Enchantment Resort- Sedona, Arizona
Nestled between the fire red mountains and prickly pear cacti lies the five star Enchantment Resort and Mii Amo Spa. This world class hotel is a member of the elite preferred hotel group, an esteemed list of resorts renowned for their commitment to detail, wonderful service and breathtaking facilities. Enchantment certainly deserved to be listed among these resorts, as it exceeded expectations and continued to astound my family and me throughout our visit. The first sight upon entry were the pristine tennis courts and clay geometric architecture, following our arrival we were swiftly guided to our room by a courteous young gentleman in a golf cart who then proceeded to unload our bags and show us the various amenities our room offered. We stayed in a Casita Junior Suite, featuring a fireplace and unparalleled view of the surrounding Boynton Canyon. The next morning we had breakfast at Che- Ah-Chi, where we were served a dynamite chocolate croissant and refreshing seasonal fruits. Enchantment offers a wonderful variety of activities, If you visit in the summer I highly recommend scheduling these in advance as they do fill up quite quickly; and if you plan to partake in any outdoor rigorous activities try to enjoy them in the morning as it does get quite hot and the sun is very strong, even a dry heat is still heat. We ventured out into the canyon on a guided fitness walk, our guide was extremely knowledgable and accommodating, they do also offer self guided hikes; however unless you are an experienced hiker (which I am not) I recommend going with one of their guides. Perhaps the best activity the resort had to offer was the photography seminar with world class photographer Larry Lindahl. This was truly a great experience for anyone who even has a slight interest in photography, Larry has published multiple books featuring the American Southwest Landscape and is an extremely knowledgable teacher ( I will leave a link to his website below). Their dining fare was unique and well prepared, our servers were wonderful and each had very interesting stories. The hidden gem of the resort truly is the Mii Amo spa, offering world class massages, meditation and yoga instruction with a focus on health and wellness. It should be noted this facility is open to those 16 or older, for those traveling with young children they do offer a daycare center for your convenience. In addition to the spa, the resort has a stunning pool with a panoramic view of the landscape and a poolside bar complete with snacks and beverages. The resort is roughly a seven minute drive from the center of town, where you’ll find numerous shops and cheaper dining options. If you have time, be sure to check out the Pink Jeep Tours, while they do not have a relationship with the hotel, they do offer fantastic tours of the landscape and also have trips to the Grand Canyon which is about an hour and thirty minutes away. Overall I would highly recommend visiting this one of a kind destination and exploring the unique beauty of The Enchantment Resort and Sedona.
